Steve Forbert first album "Alive on Arrival" is one of the best debuts Ive ever heard. He was immediately pegged as the newest "new Dylan" and the pressure of living up to that must have been overwhelming. His second album is the excellent "Jackrabbit Slim." Sometimes an artist just hits you in the gut and never lets go, and that's the way things are with Forbert for me. I still love the sound of his voice and the heart that goes along with his music. Hands down, the best band in America. "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" is one of the best CD's of the last couple of years. Their other work is great as well. "AM," "A Ghost Is Born," "Being There," "Kicking Television," "Summer Teeth," "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot". I highly recommend the DVD, "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart" as well. It follows the band, during and after the recording of "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot", "Sky Blue Sky."
